Biography
| Alan Dale Gonzales brings to WADE an extensive experience in decentralized energy policy, decentralized energy project development, and project implementation, especially in the context of South East Asia. Prior to joining WADE, Alan was the Chief Business Adviser of the EC-ASEAN COGEN Programme, a cooperation initiative between the European Commission and the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN), which has promoted the implementation of clean energy and cogeneration projects in South-East Asia. While in COGEN, Alan Dale had been involved in the development and implementation of cogeneration projects with an aggregate total project cost amounting to more than 300 million US dollars. Alan Dale has close to 20 years of experience as a consultant specialized in project development, management and financing with particular focus on energy & environment projects. He has extensive experience in providing direct advisory functions to government agencies, private enterprises and international institutions such as the European Commission, the World Bank, ADB, and UN agencies. During recent years, he has been extensively involved in developing renewable and decentralized energy projects and in assisting project developers and owners tap the benefits coming from Clean Development Mechanism and carbon financing. Alan Dale is an author of numerous publications and reports, and a frequent speaker in international seminars and conferences. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (cum laude) degree from the Central Philippine University, and a Master of Engineering degree and an MBA, both from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand. |
